Useless but Interesting

Yesterday I was reading the clubmag from priceline that I got in the mail and stumbled across some interesting useless facts.

*Fish can get sea sick
*Honey is the only food that does not spoil
*Apples, not caffeine, are more efficient at waking you up in the morning
*120 drops of water fill a teaspoon
*The brain is 74per cent water
*It takes a week to make jelly beans
*You share your birthday with at least nine million people around the world
*On average, women say 7,000 words per day - men manage just over 2,000
*Mageiricophobia is the intense fear of having to cook

My Travels

In my life I haven't had much holidaying outside of Bendgio or even Victoria. Most travels were done when I was 5years or less so there for I don't remember any of it.
My list of places are slowly growing and my holidaying experiences with my friends have been great so far. I'm sure there will be losts more in the future only Pauline seems to be the only one open to my road trips due to other people saving there money.
Anyway, last year I got to go to Torquay, Geelong and Ballarat all in the same day and Melbourne many times through out the year. Also not forgetting Kerange. This year I've been to Daylesford, Torquay, Geelong and Melbourne. Have been to Sydney and Moe but I really want to further my travels but not on my own.

I'm asking for suggestions on places to go by car.

Can you think of any positives I'm forgetting

They say in the worst of situations you've got to try and think positive.

I sewed my finger with the plain sewing machine at work
Positive: luckily didn't hit the bone

Had a gas leak at work so bad there was a haze in the air and had to work in it for an hour before we were evacuated and told to reframe from smoking. We waited outside in the freezing cold for an hour after a plumber and the fire brigade went through the place looking for the gas leak. Some employees lit up smokes coz they "couldn't be stuffed with this shit today" (obviously they don't have too many brain cells left). Apparently there was no gas leak so we went back inside to breathe in the air and keep on working. The time spent outside waiting will not be paid to us. Some girls went home with bad reactions to what ever was in the air but had to have a doctor’s certificate with them when they came to work the next day.
Positive: We are still alive after the girls had lit there cigarettes (there was no explosion).

My car broke down at 6.40am on my way to work as I was pulling out of my drive way. Fell to a dead stop. Got my father out of bed and he had no luck trying to start the car and no time to deal with it. I got a ride to work and left a 6.55am with my father speeding all the way and I made it to work at about 7.05am.
Positive: Luckily John Howard’s laws don't apply to our company as we still have the 1985 EBA award otherwise I would have lost my job or be moved to a very boring job.

I can think of many, many more things that have happened recently but I get agitated after sitting in front of a computer after a while. Let me know if you can think of any more positives.

Do some good with just 1 click of the mouse

The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "fund free mammograms" for free (pink window in the middle).

This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

Fashion Statement

I received an email today about how the colours we wear represent the way we feel. As a fashion designer (still unknown but will b one day) I totally disagreed with this email and clarity needs to be made.
First the emails statement:

Yellow is worn to represent happiness and beauty within our selves

Black is worn as by those who are troubled and need help in understanding themselves

My point of view:

Yellow is worn if you want to look sick in the afternoon sun or while shopping under great lighting. In the right lighting it will give your skin a green tinge.

Black is worn as a statement of Power. All great business people wear black; it is not a shade of hiding but a shade of leadership and a formal look of respect. Just because black is so dark does not mean they are the emotions we are feeling. Black mixes with all colours so don't be so racist and start wearing it with colours that bring it back to life.
